There might be a slight breeze.
Like a gentle push.
Then for a while there is nothing.
As in no change or no wind?
At some point there will be a stronger wind.
And then it will probably settle.

”Strohhalmen (straws) is a group dance that was initially not meant to be realized. Writing an obligatory proposal, Adriano proposed a Nelken (carnations) remake after OOO (Object Oriented Ontology), in which instead of dancing on flowers, the dancers would be the flowers, or as it turned out, the straws. Strohhalmen (straws) has been realized with three different casts. The first cast is credited hereunder, and were the participants of a series of cocktail hangouts Adriano hosted together with Emma Daniel at their home in Amsterdam in the winter 2013-2014.

Choreography: Adriano Wilfert Jensen
Dance: Kate Strain, Alex Bailey, Emma Daniel, Richard John Jones, Krõõt Juurak, Nadja Voorham, Perrine Bailleux, Adriano Wilfert Jensen & Simon Asencio.
Dramaturgy: Alice Chauchat
